2. What this website collects

This is a static website. It does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts, and it does not build a profile of you.

Information you send us. When you use the contact, submission, or newsletter forms, the details you enter are placed into an email addressed to us, which you send from your own email application. We receive that email and nothing else.
Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.

If the site is later connected to a form service or a database, this section will be updated to name that provider before the change goes live.

3. Why we use it

To answer your enquiry or evaluate your manuscript.
To send the reader newsletter, if you asked for it.
To keep the website secure and working.
To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to twenty-four months. Declined manuscript submissions and their attachments are kept for up to twelve months, as described in the Author Submission Policy. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Records connected to a signed publishing agreement are kept for as long as the agreement requires.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — email, hosting, and, where relevant, printing and distribution partners — and only to the extent needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

6. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to a particular use. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable period, and within any timescale the law sets.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue, or by emailing us.

7. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

We operate from the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from your own.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send us confidential material you cannot afford to have exposed.
